				    MANHATTAN P ERROR IN DOS 5.0 EDIT


PROBLEM

A clean boot without CONFIG.SYS from the DOS 5.0 EDIT command shows a "Packed 
File Corrupt" error message on the Manhattan P system.


CAUSE

The Gate A20 signal is in the wrong state after the system is booted.  
Gate A20 should be disabled, but instead it was enabled by the BIOS.

SOLUTION

The current Manhattan P BIOS, revision 1.09 (AST Part Number 905547-038), 
has fixed the Gate A20 problem.
